Junior prom dresses: Although they are both fun and important events in your high school career, generally speaking - the junior prom is a less formal event. Senior prom dresses: The senior prom is the final major dance of your high school career, and apart from your high school graduation, it will be the most memorable event as well. People tend to spend more money on the twelfth grade prom than any other event during the four years of high school. Senior prom gowns are typically more formal than their junior prom counterparts. Most teen girls will opt for longer gowns that are fitted, sophisticated and elegant. While a junior dance dress can usually be worn to other semi-formal events, you will likely only wear your senior dance dress one time. This dance is like the equivalent to a Hollywood red carpet event, so finding the most stylish and glamorous gown is extremely important.

The Pink Hatters - The Red Hat Societies Ladies in Waiting

Some of you, at some point, may have noticed young ladies, under fifty, dressed in stunning pink hats and lavender clothing? If you have, then you have seen a Pink Hatter. The Pink Hatters are the younger members of the Red Hat Society.

The Red Hat Society is a Society for women over fifty years of age. You might have seen these ladies, too. Ladies that are stunningly dressed in purple outfits topped off with an eye catching red hat.

Pink Hatters hold the term Ladies in waiting because they are waiting to turn fifty to become a Red Hatter. This organization is a social group for women, so that women fifty and older could have the support of fellow women. It was also created to allow these ladies to really have fun. So what happens when a Pink Hatter, reaches fifty? A special ceremony is held. The Pink hatter will give up her Pink hat and be given a red one.

What caused this group to form in the first place? It was formed from the desire of many ladies. These ladies had reached the age of fifty and needed something to return the fun to their lives. The point of being a Pink or red hatter is to have fun, meet new people and be part of a community of women who have experienced life.

These ladies love to dress up. Dressing up in Pink hats and lavender for Pink hatters and purple with red hats for Red hatters is a requirement.

This organization of women has spread like wild fire. There are society chapters all over the world and many women are now joining well before their fifties. It is no longer a rare sight to have a twenty something Pink hatter. These women join to show support of women who have broken ground for them. Pink hatters sometimes join to support red hatter family members. Other times, it is to gain the encouragement and wisdom of a group of ladies who have lived life.

Because this society has gained such popularity, and has spread so far, conventions are held annually or semi annually in various countries. This gives the opportunity for greater networking. Pink hatters and red hatters from all over a state or all over a country have the opportunity to get together, and to make new friends.

Being a Pink or Red Hatter is all about having fun, as they say, you don't stop playing because you're old, and you get old because you've forgotten how to play. The Red Hatters remind not only themselves but also the younger women, how important play is. If you're a woman of any age looking for support, encouragement and wisdom why not consider becoming a Pink Hatter?

Wedding Dresses: Everyone's Wearing White, Choose A Red Wedding Gown To Make An Impact

When considering the multitude of wedding dresses out there that you could choose from for your wedding it's pretty easy to focus on style, but forget that there are different color options available to you. In fact light pastels, pinks and even reds are becoming more sought after, so let's look at whether these could work for you:

Whilst many brides consider white to be the only color for a wedding, these days we are seeing more and more brides turning to different colors in order to stand out, follow a theme or just do something memorable.

But are you brave enough to go for a red wedding dress?

A red wedding dress is a serious statement and will fit in really well if you're having a Christmas, Valentine's or Oriental themed wedding.

Red is a traditionally lucky color in the Far East, so why not break from the norm and have a red themed wedding? Remember that you can team up a red wedding gown with vampish red lipstick, dozens of red roses everywhere and perhaps bridesmaids in a lighter shade of red or pink.

In fact red would also be an excellent choice for those wanting a more medieval or Gothic theme to their wedding, and with pale makeup, ruby red lips and a red gown you're sure to stand out and be the center of attention.

There are certain details that look great with red, for instance silver applique or crystals are really set off against the red. For instance, if you're wearing a red ball gown style dress you could also add some crystal detailing to the corset.

Another great look could be a Wild-West style gown with cascading ruffles and multiple petticoats; think the girls in the saloon in a John Wayne Western. A scarlet dress with white petticoats and long elbow-length gloves would work really well here and if you have a lace-up corset you really will look like a Southern belle on this special day.

Because red does tend to lend itself to an oriental or vintage theme you should probably consider a more classic style gown. Perhaps ball-gown or A-line style is better, and made of a heavier fabric like Taffeta and with a long skirt and plenty of ruffles.

If you are going vintage or oriental you should consider long gloves and perhaps even a parasol or fan instead of a bouquet. You could switch from fan or parasol to bouquet upon entering the church or office.

For makeup and hair as mentioned, go red. Be brave and break out the red lipstick! If you are having a vintage or oriental theme you're probably going to look great with your hair up or curled elaborately.

Whatever you decide to do, you can see that in fact red is a real option for your wedding dress. If you're brave enough to break away from the norm and go red then you may just find that you are rewarded because you will be a truly memorable bride! Product Review: Plus Size Clubwear

If you are a plus size women and are looking for sexy clubwear in sizes 1X,2X,3X or 4X then The Lingerie Place should be at the top of your list. The Lingerie Place is most commonly known for its ultra sexy lingerie, leather apparel, fantasy costumes and adult accessories. Look a little deeper however and you will find a small but very sexy collection of mini dresses that are a perfect fit for the hottest clubs.

The Plus Size collection at the time of this review included dresses and mini dresses in five categories:

Leather
Patent/PVC/Vinyl
Elegant Moments
Dream Girl and G-World

Their collection of leather mini dresses at the time of this review consisted of eight unique styles, all of which would be perfect for any late night party.

For example, my favorite is a sexy black leather lace up dress from Allure Leather (code: ALLURE-17-110X). The lace-up front of this dress reveals a glimpse of cleavage without showing to much. The short flirty skirt exposes a length of bare thigh. The adjustable collar strap and back zipper opening make it a great fit. The sizes available are small, medium, large, XL, 1X,2X,3X.

Another beautifully designed leather garment that would look fabulous on any woman with sexy curves is the strapless underwire corset style leather mini dress with a contrasting criss cross red lace pattern from Elegant Moments. (Code: ELEGANTMOMENTS-L8112X) The corset style pushes the breast upward showing ample cleavage. Size range for this dress is small, medium, large, Xl, 1X,2X,3X

The Lingerie Place also has a somewhat larger selection of Patent/PVC/Vinyl items. In this category there was thirteen dresses to select from. All of which would fit easily into any clubbing atmosphere. Most are of the shiny black variety but they also have several styles in a deep sexy red and a few incorporate lace or mess. Very sexy indeed. Most of these garments come in sizes small, medium, large, Xl, 1X,2X,3X

The Elegant Moments collection included ten dresses ranging from a Lace halter mini dress to a slip style mini dress. Not all of these dresses come in 1X,2X,3X, some are labeled as Queen or One Size Fits All Plus (Use caution when selecting a dress labeled one size fits all Plus Sizes)

Their Dream Girl collection is over the top when it comes to sexy dresses for women sizes 1X,2X,3X,4X. They had twenty clubwear style dress available that included a few fantasy costumes, naughty nurse for example. Size range for the majority of dresses is 1X,2X,3X,4X.

Note: Most of the models in their plus size section are plus size themselves giving a much more accurate representation of the clothing. Also, remember that it is always a good idea to review the size charts carefully. Not all designers agree on sizes and can vary significantly.

In the fight of the battle of the bulge, many women are turning not to plastic surgery or yo-yo diets for help - but undergarments to help minimize and mask their imperfections! The use of body girdles is far from new - in fact, the use of corsets (the original body girdle) dates so for back, that it would be hard to imagine a time when some sort of body shaping mechanism WASN'T in use! The perfect hourglass figure has always been the desired body shape, so whether you were a Queen of an ancient Egyptian dynasty, or a young Hollywood starlet walking the red carpet, slimming undergarments have always been a girls best friend!

Now there are several types of shaping undergarments that you can choose from, girdles, waist cinchers and slimming shapewear. They each do something different and have varying effects.

Girdles: A girdle tends to cover the area from your high waist line to the top of your lap or thighs. They are designed to smooth the hips and minimize any bulges in the abdomen. Generally speaking, they are tighter at the waistline as to accentuate the natural curve of your hips. Girdles can be regular panty-shaped, skirt shaped with attached garter belts or shaped like thigh shorts (similar to bikers shorts). You've most likely seen girdles worn by your mother or grandmother depending on your age as it was a very common, if not necessary garment piece between the 1930s-1960's. Girdles are great because unlike waist cinchers and slimming shapewear, they mostly look like "normal" underwear and slip type garments. So if you are concerned with undressing in front of people, and exposing your secret - they'd most likely never realize what it is that you are wearing.

Waist Cinchers: Waist cinchers - or corsets do exactly what they say which is to cinch or make your waist appear smaller than what it is. While the use of the words waist cincher and corset can be interchangeable, their are some distinct differences between the two items. Generally speaking, a waist cincher is made of a rubber or heavy latex material. You can find some that are like "vests" to be worn under your clothes, and others that are more in the style of a traditional corset. The heavy latex/rubber material of a waist cincher draws in your natural waist line, giving you an instant hourglass figure - but it is also meant to make you sweat. The idea here is that by sweating, you will be more likely to lose water weight (or weight in general). These types of waist minimizers are usually available in 3 different "compressions"; minimal, moderate and maximum - with each providing more support and "cinching" than the one before it. It is important to make sure you buy one that fits, and by fit - it should be snug, but comfortable. For some women, this may even mean a unit that is a size smaller than what you would normally wear. Corsets are made of a variety of fabrics (i.e. cotton, silk, vinyl, leather, lace brocade, etc) and can be considered the "original waist cincher". They are available in underbust and overbust styles. Where the waist cincher is made of heavy latex to compress the body, corsets usually have bone or steel construction to draw in the waist. Corsets date back centuries, and many women use them to "train" their bodies into the desired hourglass shape.

Slimming Shapewear: Slimming shapewear is a great alternative for the woman who doesn't like the heavy feel of a latex waist cincher and is uncomfortable in corsets. These items will smooth out your rolls, bulges and make your post-baby belly all bit disappear. They are generally more comfortable than corsets and less noticeable than lets say the cinchers. You can find them as full slips, shorts, underwear, camisoles and even t-shirts! Yummie Tummie and Spanx are popular brands of slimming shapewear.
